Shouhang Energy-saving Dunhuang 100MW molten salt tower CSP station is in the southwest area of Dunhuang Optoelectronics Industrial Park. The power station started construction at the end of 2016 and was successfully connected to the grid and put into operation on December 28, 2018. The CSP station covers an area of 7.8 square kilometers. The 12,000 multi-sided heliostats with a total reflection area of 1.4 million square meters surround the 260-meter-high heat-absorbing tower in concentric circles. After the molten salt is heated, part of the superheated steam is generated by the steam generator and drives the steam turbine generator set to generate electricity, and the other part of the hot molten salt is stored in the molten salt tank to continue to meet the power generation demand after sunset. The heat storage tank is an important part of the heat storage and exchange system of the entire CSP station. The height of the storage tank in the project is 15 meters, the diameter of the cold tank is 37 meters, the design temperature is 400 degrees, the diameter of the hot tank is 39 meters, the design temperature is 593 degrees, and the tank body Strict requirements for thermal insulation performance were put forward, and RockTech ROCKWOOL was finally selected.
