Competence Lead root-system disease suppression

Position

We are looking for a dedicated and passionate Root System Microbiome Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will study and develop bio stimulant and microbiome-based strategies for disease suppression.

Responsibilities

• Translate strategic innovation objectives into a comprehensive development program aimed at disease suppression disease suppression in the root system and growing media
• Research and identify bio stimulant and root system microbiota that can improve plant health and disease resistance
• Conduct laboratory and field trials to evaluate the effectiveness of bio stimulants and the growing media microbiome on plant growth and disease control
• Develop methods to help measure the effectives of the root system microbiome in preventing disease
• Collaborate with internal teams, external partners, and stakeholders to drive innovation
• Stay up to date with the latest scientific developments and regulatory requirements relevant to bio stimulants and the use of beneficial microbial solutions
• Document and present research findings, progress, and recommendations to the management team and other stakeholders

Qualifications

• A master's degree or Ph.D. in Phyto microbiology or similar
• Strong understanding of plant-microbe interactions and their applications in horticulture and proven R&D experience in this field
• Ability to design, conduct, and analyze experiments effectively and in cooperation with 3rd parties
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Experience with leading R&D programs in your field
