Your future team:
Group Technology (GT) is part of the main ROCKWOOL organisation and consists of a network of departments that create and deliver machines and production equipment as well as entire production lines for our international production sites.
Joining GT, you will become an important part of our Hot End, Fluids, Waste & Abatement department. We are 36 skilled and supporting engineers, each with a background in mechanical design and project management – we are a highly committed team and make sure that all are supported, both in the office and on-site in factories around the globe.
Here you get to manage your part of large-scale projects from inception to completion, while you immerse yourself in the development of production equipment in a growing, green and global company.
This is who you will work with:
“Counting several different nationalities among us and working from different sites, you’ll find that we’re an international but very close-knit team. If you need help or someone to bounce ideas off, there is always someone ready to give you their two cents,” says Director Søren Ballisager.
What you will be doing:
Help us raise the standards of our project management activities and bring your mechanical understanding into play as you drive our engineering projects in a truly global technology department
In this position, you will skillfully manage projects and stakeholders.
Being a Project Manager in our team, you will plan, coordinate and manage projects related to our in-house production equipment, such as spinners, spinning chambers, curing ovens, etc.
Should we highlight these are crucial steps in the production process and greatly impact production efficiency and product quality? The projects vary in scope and size and are often part of even larger projects. You will work with committed colleagues inside your technical area of expertise and from other departments, such as process specialists, electrical engineers and production experts in factories across the globe.
More specifically, it will be up to you to:
Develop and drive project master plans as well as installation plans
Ensure that the designed technical solutions are aligned with project specifications and quality
Participate in sourcing and commercial contracting processes and follow up with suppliers
Carefully scout for potential risks to sourcing, project completion, etc. and adjust continuously
Although your new desk will be in the Nowy Rynek building in central Poznań, Poland, you will often travel primarily in Europe but could also be around North America and Asia – mostly to visit suppliers and international production sites to oversee equipment implementations and drive troubleshooting. You can expect to travel up to 80 days per year, with trips varying from just a couple of days to a few weeks at a time. Know, however, that you will rarely be alone.
What you bring:
In managing the projects, your already obtained experience makes it easy for you to keep your collaborators inspired and motivated, and you have a keen sense of how to enhance the strengths in other people and drive progression through them.
You naturally take the various concerns of different stakeholders into account while at the same time ensuring that the projects are known for the highest standards. You will manage each project team efficiently and with motivated project contributors. But also ensure the budget is observed and that design, development, delivery and implementation are on track, since other colleagues are dependent on your deliverables.
A Project Manager who sets the direction for our production equipment and bring your openness and cultural understanding as you will be working in a truly international setting, and you thrive in navigating in project organisations and communicate at all levels with ease. Taking responsibility for the scope of your projects and communicating with your team to align processes is second nature.
Moreover, we imagine that you:
Have 5+ years of experience with project management related to production equipment, including budgeting and time management
Hold a degree in engineering combined with a noteworthy background within mechanical engineering
Have a profound technical understanding
Have excellent communication skills and are fluent in English – additional languages are a plus
