The ROCKWOOL Group at Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week

The ROCKWOOL Group is for the first time participating in the Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week and we are proud to be a founding sponsor of the Energy Efficiency Expo 2017 at the World Future Energy Summit in Abu Dhabi from 16-19 January.The Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week consists of several activities, and we participate in two:

World Future Energy Summit

The World Future Energy Summit (WFES), part of Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week, is the world’s most influential event dedicated to advancing the use of renewable energy, energy efficiency and clean technology.

On Wednesday 18 January, CEO Jens Birgersson will take part in a panel discussion on “Benchmarking the cost-effectiveness of a retrofit” and SVP Bernard Plancade delivers a TechTalk on “Rising to the challenges of modern living: energy efficiency and fire resilience as the main drivers of sustainability in the building sector".

 In 2016, the exhibition at the World Future Energy Summit brought together 600 companies from 32 countries and more than 30,000 attendees from 150 countries, making it an essential place to network and seek new business opportunities not only in the Middle East region.

Energy Efficiency Expo

The ROCKWOOL Group has been working with partners at WFES to establish an Expo dedicated to Energy Efficiency and we are proud to be a founding sponsor. The Expo will allow us to increase awareness of how our products can help solve global challenges related to energy efficiency, urban mobility and water management.

At the Energy Efficiency Expo, we will showcase our solutions within thermal and acoustic insulation, ventilated facade insulation and cladding, water management and hydroponics, as well as noise and vibration control – all based on ROCKWOOL stone wool and presented by ROCKWOOL insulation, ROCKWOOL TECHNICAL INSULATION, ROCKPANEL cladding boards, LAPINUS FIBRES and GRODAN horticultural substrates. The stand is located in Hall 8, stand no. 8171.
