Role: Strategist
Katja made her name racing in the 49erFX Olympic class, where she took home a bronze medal from the Olympic Games in Rio in 2016.
Competing alongside Jena-Mai Hansen, she went on to win the World Championship in the same class the following year, adding to an impressive record on the water.
Katja is delighted to be part of Denmark SailGP Team for Season 2, saying: “I really think that it’s a good step forward for SailGP to include female sailors. I think it’s necessary to push for gender equality, and I’m happy that the team is trying to find the best person, and slowly bring them into the role, to get the best for the team overall.”
