Products are commonly glued with a mortar applied to the surface, similar to how ETICS products are applied to a wall with a basecoat mortar. The backside surface of the ceiling slab is covered with mortar and firmly pushed and placed against the underside of the floor. Some irregularities of the floor can be evened out, creating a levelled ceiling surface.
Mechanical fixings can also be used, drill-fixed or nailed against the floor. Here adjustments can be made to create a smooth surface layer.
Work tightly around penetrations to assure proper performance in these often difficult to reach spots.
